Putting The Cart Before The Horse…

New addition to the made to measure knitwear…

Alongside the superfine merino wool, wool and cashmere, pure cashmere and cashmere/silk blend, we now have…

85% cotton, 15% cashmere, in 30 colours, including navy blue!!!

Same number of styles, and all ready for spring…

Some good news, is that delivery dates are starting to improve. We had been looking at delivery times of 6-7 weeks, this is now down to 5-6 weeks, pedantic I know, but every little helps…

Meanwhile, Rishi’s had the bonnet up and has been tinkering with the engine again.

Doesn’t he know, it’s all electric now?

The problem with his Big End continues; no matter how much grease Rishi uses, it won’t budge, refusing to turn or go quietly. It remains in a continual state of denial, and even Vlad the Lad has apparently tried to crank him up, with a another whopping great turn on the starting handle!

I think I preferred it when carts were pulled by horses, at least you knew how and where to avoid the ‘bull’.

But, the obvious question is can Rishi get this vehicle up to 88 miles per hour, or will he go left? I am obviously not condoning exceeding the national speed limit, but where he’s going, we don’t need roads. Well according to Citizen Kahn…

We have no planes, trains or traffic free zones, only Ulez. I’m surprised we have had more complaints about that anachronism!

Ah, transport infrastructure projects, all aboard the gravy train/boat, delete as necessary.

I am also looking forward to many more comments from 30p Lee… I hope he is set to run, and run.

New casual trousers and a limited edition jean which will form the basis for a made to measure denim collection. Available now!

So I decided we would try a new collaboration with Jacob Cohen to produce a casual trouser style that is exclusive to us in the UK. Currently in a stretch cotton with a regular rather than a jean style pocket there 2 colours and are £250 a pair. More colours will follow.

Jacob Cohen for Volpe – Blue stretch cotton at £250

Jacob Cohen for Volpe – Stone stretch cotton at £250

And then also a limited edition jean made exclusively for us and limited to 15 pairs. This will be the first of many new styles. We will produce regular limited edition models and also the denim is now available made to measure.

Volpe limited edition jean of 15 pairs, and also available made to measure.

Polo Shirts Made to Measure

A new addition to the fold.

Amongst a few new exciting developments for this season, we are now able to offer Made to Measure Polo Shirts. There is a large range of colours and finishes.

I have done my best to road test them, and I deem them Ibiza suitable: as you know; if they work there, they will work anywhere.

Ordering now will mean you will have them in time for Opening Parties.

Sadly these are not available in Red Lycra, which is just as well.

Made to Measure

Apparently some of you would like to be reminded that we make garments to measure….

And a bit of eye candy, no, no, no, not Emi, it’s all about me, me, me!

Volpe Night Out

Volpe Night Out

I mean around all my travelling, ducking and diving, you want me to work as well. I’ll have you know I didn’t get into this to have a job it’s more of a role according to Boris, and only a couple of hours a fortnight at that.

A few days in Ibiza here, a weekend in Rome there, it’s as if you are trying to cramp my style!

Anyway, talking of style here are some photos of some outfits that I have put together, in order that you might have some idea of what I will mainly be wearing this summer.

Brown Check

These photos have already made an appearance on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for those of you who stalk me in such places.

We finally have a full range of summer fabrics for suits, jackets, shirts and beach towels. As it’s not warm enough for beach towels I’ll post those later. I know I’ll only get a slew of “out of office” from those of you who spend more time reclining on a beach than I do.

Blue Check

I’ll keep you abreast of my exploits and travels at another point as we are only a few days in, and don’t worry I’m storing it up.

Goodness, if I have to put up with Neil and Eugene fighting who has the greater column inches each time I write  one of these things. Luckily neither on them would be seen dead in any of the things I am posting here!

Blue Jersey

And so you know it’s not just about jackets, because dahlinks they are so on trend! Heavens I must leave the little green fairee alone!

Look I’m only trying to sound down, and trendy with the kids, and their social media.

Blue Check Suit

I wouldn’t want you to think that we’d forgotten about the suits…. the one above is particularly natty.

Finally here is a photo to show that I can sew. I know you only have my word for that, but I can and have in the past.

Buttonhole by Hand

Me and the elves are capable of anything, suits, jackets, trousers, shirts, ties, socks, underwear, coats and anything else including beach towels, just ask!

I will defer to Bill Murray to finish, more or less.

When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the cycle of life. But standing here among the people of Pimlico and basking in the warmth of their hearths and hearts, I couldn’t imagine a better fate than a long and lustrous winter.
